LAHORE: Punjab Information and Culture Minister Fayazul Hassan Chohan on Wednesday dubbed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) a private limited company run by Hamza Shehbaz and his father Shehbaz Sharif to protect their family interests.

Talking to journalists outside Punjab Assembly, Chohan said the Sharifs had held the PML-N legislators hostage.

To a query, the provincial information minister said Hamza Shehbaz Sharif should appear before the special committee of the Punjab Assembly constituted to probe the hooliganism by the opposition on October 16, adding that only then he would witness the glaring truth how PML-N legislators led by Hamza Shehbaz violated sanctity and decorum of the august House and damaged the state property.

He further said Hamza Shehbaz had compelled the MPAs to stage a sit in against the government.

Criticising the opposition legislators, Fayazul Hassan Chohan said the PML-N’s legislators have not been attending the session since October 19 but mark their attendance just to claim the allowances.

He said PML-N had let the masses down by not taking part in the budget debate for the public welfare but they were fully aware of watching their personal interests.

The minister asked, “Have the voters elected the PML-N parliamentarians for safeguarding their own interests?”
