Former Pakistan captain Misbah Ul Haq was all praise for the “young team” after Pakistan, led by Sarfraz Ahmed, beat England in the Champions Trophy 2017 semi-final on Wednesday.
Misbah congratulated the team but kept his special praises for Pakistan’s new ODI captain Sarfraz Ahmed.
In a tweet soon after Pakistan’s victory, Misbah hailed Sarfraz “for devising excellent strategies and then executing them in a remarkable fashion” which led the underdogs to beat a so far unbeatable England side.

Misbah also praised Sarfraz’s captaincy on a sports channel where he appears as an expert.

Pakistan beat England by eight wickets in Cardiff on Wednesday to book their place in the Champions Trophy final for the first time in the country’s cricketing history.
Pakistan will now play India at Edgbaston in Sunday’s final at the Oval.
