Model Town Case: Court seeks reply from police

LAHORE: Sessions Court Lahore on Friday approved a petition for hearing, seeking registration of Model Town police firing case against Sharif brothers and other government leaders, ARY News reported.

The court approved the plea for preliminary hearing and sought reply from the Faisal Town police station Lahore.

The petitioner in his plea said that 14 innocent persons were killed and over 100 were injured in the firing incident.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, Chaudhry Nisar and other government leaders have been held responsible for the bloody incident at Minhaj-ul-Quran secretariat in Model Town area of Lahore.

It was further pleaded that the police was given an application for registration of the case against responsible persons but the case was not registered against them.
