MPC rejects demand for more administrative units

The meeting was presided over by JUP Secretary General Maulana Owais Ahmad Noorani whereas the meeting was organized by QAT leader Ayaz Latif Palejo.

Representatives of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), National Party (NP), Awami National Party (ANP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Balochistan National Party (BNP) along with different parties were present in the multi-party conference.

Palejo stated that PPP and MQM representatives were not invited in the meeting whereas PPP Senator Saeed Ghani attended the moot on personal level.

A resolution was read during the multi-party conference in which it was stated that the country was facing tremendous problems whereas there is a looming threat of floods in the province.

It was also stated in the resolution that MQM Chairman has hurt the sentiments of 180 million people by demanding new units in the province and will create ethnic problems that will result in chaos in the region.

“The conference seeks harmony among all the people living in Sindh who speak different languages. The country cannot be endangered of chaos which may erupt due to personal party agenda”, the resolution stated.
