MQM announces to continue the protest movement against Sindh LG Act 2013

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a protest against the Sindh Local Government Act 2013 at Press Club in Karachi on Sunday, ARY news reported.

MQM declared the new Local Government Act and delimitations of constituencies by Sindh government as Black Law, controversial   and a conspiracy to distribute Sindh and launched protest against it.

MQM’s protestors were carrying placards displaying ‘Say No to Local Government Act 2013’,’ LG Act 2013 unacceptable’, ‘ Don’t assassinate the Sindh’s people mandate’ and some other. Protestors also chanted slogans against it.

MQM Leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that his party doesn’t want any clash but if the decision isn’t going to be made through vote then it will be decided on the road.

Furthermore, Haider Abbas Rizvi termed the law as lame and demanded the distribution on the basis of equality while Faisal Sabzwari termed it as outdated way of governance and announced to challenge the act in the court.

MQM leaders and supports announced to continue their fight against the Black law and vowed to remain firm against it until its revival.
