Two MQM-London suspects among five apprehended in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Sunday claimed to have arrested five suspects, including two activists of  Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) from different ares in Karachi.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force, in separate actions, arrested two suspects linked with MQM-L from Clifton and three street criminals from Model Colony.

The MQM-L suspects were identified as Kamran Uddin alias ‘Langra’ and Rashid Ali alias ‘Memon’. The Rangers spokesperson said that the suspects were involved in many heinous crimes and added that weapons, ammunition and other valuable things were recovered from their possession.

Earlier,  police on February 10  had  claimed to have rounded up a killer associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L)  involved in more than 42 killings.

The police on a tip-off carried out an action in city’s area of Bahadurabad and arrested the shooter here today.

“The killer is a government employee and has been working in the Sindh’s health department,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Azfar Mahesar had said while apprising the media.
