ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that party has the sole role right to represent the people of Karachi.
Speaking to state TV reporter after the inaugural session of the National Assembly, Siddiqui said that MQM has not yet lost the right to represent the people of Karachi.
“The right to represent Karachi still lies with the MQM. The claim to represent Karachi is still not out of our hands yet,” he said.
Siddiqui said that they still have reservations over the conduct of the elections and the answers to many of their allegations will be known soon.
He said the presence of the MQM in the assemblies increases the stature of the House as it is the only party which brought middle and lower-middle class individuals to parliament.
