The month is highly significant for the Muslims across the world as second caliph Hazrat Umar (R.A) and Imam Hussain (R.A) were martyred in this month.
Rallies are being taken out across the country on the martyrdom of the second caliph today.
Majlis are being held and mourning processions are also being taken out across the country to pay their respects to Imam Hussain (R.A) and the martyrs of Karbala.
It should be noted that security has been placed on high alert to ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the holy month.
