Munawwar Controversy: ST protests over statements

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) held a protest against the statements of Syed Munawwar Hassan, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) here on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

The protestors held placards and banners expressing their solidarity with the military.

On the occasion, PST workers chanted slogans against JI and demanded their Ameer to withdraw his statements.

Allama Attaullah, representative of PST, while addressing the protest claimed that the statements made by the JI Ameer are equivalent to spreading hate.

He added that Pakistan Army has rendered great sacrifices for the country in the war against terrorism.
