KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, on Thursday called for national unity to tackle torrential rains and flood crisis, ARY News reported.
Speaking with the media after visiting the Founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Mausoleum on his death anniversary, Murad Ali Shah urged critics to offer constructive criticism so that shortcomings could be addressed.
He stressed that the flood crisis cannot be tackled alone and requires the cooperation of the entire nation.
The chief minister said that unity is the key to overcoming any challenge.
He added that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto visited flood-affected areas and emphasized the need to impose agricultural and climate emergencies.
The chief minister further stated that Sindh would support every water project that is non-controversial.

On Wednesday, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah arrived through Malir Cantt and met residents of Saadi Town and adjoining areas on the ground to assess the situation firsthand.
He assured the people of immediate relief measures and directed concerned authorities to speed up the drainage of floodwater.
Teams of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Rescue 1122, and Cantonment authorities are currently engaged in dewatering operations to restore normalcy in the submerged locality.
