The heart-wrenching incident took place in Union Council Dewal of Murree, where unidentified men physically assaulted a female teacher, doused her with petrol and set ablaze for refusing a marriage proposal.
The woman suffered severe burns and was shifted, in critical condition, to PIMS hospital in Islamabad. Medico-legal sources said that nearly 70 percent of the victim’s body was burnt in the incident.
Police have recovered the petroleum barrel from the site of incident and registered a case against unidentified people.
