ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation Mushaal Hussein Mullick on Wednesday condemned the shifting of his husband, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasim Malik, from Kot Bhalwal Jail in occupied Jammu to New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference, Mushaal said such inhuman and brutal tactics could not dampen the courage of the ‘Lion of Kashmir’.

She said the government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scared of the recent unprecedented surge of Kashmir movement of right to self-determination; hence he used all inhuman acts to silence the voices.

Wife of the freedom fighter said that Indian had unleashed its state barbarism for over 70 years during which thousands of Kashmiris were martyred and thousands of women were widowed but the intensity of the movement had witnessed a considerable increase with each passing day, which was clear indication that Kashmiris could not be sacred by such tactics.

“Yasin Malik is seriously ill and due to detention his health is deteriorating with each passing day, bu the Indian authorities shidted him to infamous Tihar Jail in New Delhi instead of providing him health facilities,” she deplored.

A Delhi court on Wednesday sent the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front into the custody of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) till April 22 in the name of interrogation in a fake case registered against him.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was produced before special judge, Rakesh Syal, where the NIA arrested him inside the courtroom and sought 15-day custodial interrogation.

The proceedings in the case were heard in-camera.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was shifted to Delhi’s Tihar Jail on Tuesday after the NIA secured his production remand in the case.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik by the NIA showed the sick mentality of Indian state.

Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir in a statement also denounced the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik by NIA and summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to New Delhi in the name of questioning at NIA headquarters.
