Musharraf passes restless night in hospital

RAWALPINDI: Former president Pervez Musharraf, who has been admitted at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology due to heart ailment yesterday, passed the first night at hospital ICU with no improvement, ARY News reported on Friday.

Musharraf will undergo more medical tests in the hospital today to establish the state of his health.

According to medical reports, cigar smoking has affected the heart of the former military ruler, who passed a restless first night at AFIC hospital, sources said. A seven-member medical board of doctors will see angeography and other medical reports of Pervez Musharraf to decide the state of health of the former president.

Pakistan's former president Pervez Musharraf who is facing treason charges over proclamation of emergency in 2007, while on the way to the special court for treason trial, the motorcade of Musharraf was diverted to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology after he felt cardiac problem.
