Musharraf released from sub-jail after court orders

ISLAMABAD: General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf, former President and Army Chief of Pakistan, was released from the sub-jail (his own house) at Chak Shehzad on Wednesday – ARY News reports.

The SP of Adiyala Jail received orders of Musharraf’s release after his request of bail in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi Murder case, was accepted by the court.

Ahmad Raza Qasuri, Musharraf’s counsel, stated that the release of former President of Pakistan is not an outcome of any deal. He further claimed that the cases filed against Pervez Musharraf were false.

Qasuri further claimed that the name of former Army Chief was placed in the Exit Control List (ECL) by the Sindh High Court. The lawyer expressed his optimism that the court would also withdraw his name from the ECL now
