In his response over the verdict, Musharraf said that the case against him had no substance and that he was deliberately framed.

“I know that all the cases against me were registered on political basis and are of similar nature,” he claimed.

The former military dictator hoped that he would be served justice and Pakistan will remain to be foremost.

Earlier in the day, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Quetta acquitted Musharraf and two ex-ministers in the Akbar Bugti murder case.

The court in its remarks said that the three accused including former federal minister Aftab Sherpao and ex-home minister Balochistan Shoaib Nausherwani have no link in the case.

The litigation continued for a period of three-and-a-half years and the ATC issued its verdict today after reaching its decision following completion of arguments from both the sides.
