On the other hand, Pervez Musharraf has decided to challenge the formation of a Special Court for the case.

According to sources, Musharraf’s lawyer has advised to challenge the special court after the retirement of outgoing Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. It will be baseless to challenge the special court in the present setup.

A resolution to carry out a treason case against Pervez Musharraf was presented in the Lahore High Court (LHC). It is stated that in the resolution that people providing assistance to Musharraf should also be tried in the court and the case should be started since 12th October 1999 instead of 3rd November 2007.
