Musharraf Treason Trial at Federal Sharia Court

ISLAMABAD: The proceedings of treason trial against former president Pervez Musharraf will be held at the premises of the Federal Sharia Court, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The Registrar of the court has received a notification in this regard, the report said.

Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, the leader of opposition in Senate, has urged for an open trial against former president Pervez Musharraf. Talking to media Aitzaz said that Musharraf while declaring imposition of emergency in Year 2007 had used
words ‘I’ frequently.
According to reports, the former military ruler has contacted lawyers for defending him in the treason trial.
