Musharraf's treason trial is an internal matter of Pakistan: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan has said that the treason trial against Pervez Musharraf is an internal matter of Pakistan and the visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister, Saud Al-Faisal was already fixed, he will be arriving here on January 6 or 7 – ARY News reports.

The FO Spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam told on Friday that so far there is no information of Musharraf travelling abroad, the treason trial against him is an internal matter and nobody outside Pakistan has any concern with it.

She clarified that the visit of Saudi FM was pre-fixed. He will meet the President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Foreign Advisor of Pakistan, Sartaj Aziz. PM Nawaz Sharif had invited the Saudi FM to visit Pakistan, during his meeting with him in New York last year, added the Spokesperson.

Tasneem Aslam further told that Pakistan will continue to support ongoing internal reconciliation process in Afghanistan in 2014 also.

Speaking about exchange of prisoners with India, she elaborated that the list of prisoners given by the Indian authorities does not match the record here and the matter shall be taken up with India.
