The unofficial and unconfirmed results of the NA-129 Lahore by-election have been finalized.
All 334 polling stations in the constituency reported results showing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Hafiz Muhammad Nauman emerging victorious with 63,441 votes.
Independent candidate Arsalan Ahmed secured second place with 29,099 votes.
By-elections for six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly seats were held on Sunday under stringent security arrangements.
Polling began at 9:00 a.m. and continued uninterrupted until 5:00 p.m., after which all polling station doors were closed. Only those already inside were allowed to cast their ballots.
For security purposes, the Pakistan Army and civil armed forces were deployed following approval from the Ministry of Interior at the request of the Election Commission.
The unconfirmed and unofficial results show, PML-N has won the majority of seats in the by-elections.
