ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser says the use of the latest technology in the assembly secretariat will help cut expenditures being incurred on papers.
He was chairing a meeting on Information Technology and e-governance at the parliament house in Islamabad today.
The meeting was attended by officials of the National Assembly secretariat and Information Technology Board.
The Information Technology Board briefed the Speaker on e-governance.
Asad Qaiser noted that e-governance will help improve efficiency and performance, besides helping cut expenditures being incurred on the use of papers.
He said being Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker in the previous PTI government in the province, he promoted the use of the latest technology in the provincial legislature.
