According to NAB Balochistan spokesperson, Magsi was taken into custody on Monday morning.

The official said that he is accused of posting his two daughters, one son and many other incompetent persons as gazetted officers.

The NAB spokesman also said that Magsi earned billions of rupees through illegal means during his tenure as Balochistan Public Service Commission’s chief.

The accountability bureau has launched the investigation against the commission chairman and will be produced before a court on Tuesday.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday had recovered local and foreign currency worth Rs 630 millions along with sizable quantity of gold from the residence of Finance Secretary Balochistan, Mushtaq Raisani, which the officials believed was accumulated through corruption.
