ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday said that the NAB investigation session was held in an amicable environment.
According to ARY News, the chief minister was talking to media after visiting the NAB office to answer questions of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officers in an ongoing inquiry against him.
Murad Ali Shah said that the chief justice in a hearing on Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report had ordered removal of his and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s names from the exit control list (ECL).
“While reading the JIT report it seems my name is added without any reason,” he said.
Chief Minister Shah said that “What is happenings behind (the scene) would fail (in the end).”
He said the NAB has not summoned him again.
Shah said that he has invited the NAB officials on a visit to Thar.
Earlier, an investigation team of officers headed by Director General NAB Irfan Mangi asked questions from chief minister of Sindh in the fake bank accounts inquiry.
Murad Ali Shah visited second time to the NAB office in the inquiry into fake bank accounts, in which Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his father Asif Ali Zardari are also being investigated among 30 accused.
In the previous hearing, the combined investigation team (CIT) of the bureau had recorded the chief minister’s statement, handed over him a questionnaire and asked him to submit a written response.
