NAB summons Usman Buzdar in corruption case

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned the former chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar in a corruption case, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

As per details, the National Accountability Bureau issued a notice to the PTI leader and former chief minister of Punjab.

The notice stated that Buzdar was summoned on March 3 but he could not satisfy the NAB authorities.

Furthermore, the anti-graft body has also directed him to bring the complete record too while appearing before the NAB office.

Earlier, an accountability court (AC) barred the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting former chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar in assets beyond means case.

After hearing arguments of the counsel, the court granted interim bail to former chief minister Punjab till February 27 and restrained the bureau from his arrest.

Buzdar’s counsel had told the court that the NAB first said his arrest is not needed but now sent a notice.

It is pertinent to mention here that the NAB Executive Board approved the recommendation of NAB Lahore to launch an investigation against Buzdar in assets beyond the means.
