KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi inspected coastal installations and visited forward positions of Pakistan Navy, a spokesman said on Thursday.
The Naval Chief reviewed operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy, according to the statement of the navy’s spokesperson.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood also visited Pakistan Navy’s ships deployed in northern Arabian Sea, the navy’s spokesman said.
The Naval Chief was also given a briefing on operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy, the spokesman said.
Admiral Abbasi also met with the navy officers and soldiers during his visit. He commended the operational preparedness and morale of the members of the navy, the spokesman further said.
The Naval Chief directed the soldiers to remain extremely alert and prepared in the current extraordinary situation.
Admiral Abbasi said that detecting an Indian submarine timely is proof of excellent professional capability of Pakistan Navy. “We are a peaceful country but are extremely capable to thwart the aggression of the enemy,” the Naval Chief said.
“We don’t want aggression but will respond thoroughly to aggressive act of the enemy,” the navy chief further said. “Our spirit to protect our country gives strength to our capabilities,” he added.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine recently and successfully foiled its bid to intrude into the Pakistani waters.
According to a statement, the Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine and stopped it from entering into the Pakistani waters. The Pakistan Navy, owing to its high professionalism, thwarted every single attempt of the Indian submarine in its futile effort to avoid being located in the seas.
