RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed on Saturday accused Nawaz Sharif of making secret telephone calls to India on foreign visits and deliberately dropping Mumbai attacks’ accused “Ajmal Kasab’s address”, ARY News reported.

“Did he (Nawaz Sharif) serve nation by dropping Ajmal Kasab’s address, he used to make telephone calls to India on visits abroad, he didn’t have courage to phone them while in Pakistan,” Sheikh Rasheed told ARY News during an exclusive interview.

The AML chief added that the PML-N supreme leader’s motive behind the Dawn Leaks scandal and by going to prison was to become a “tarzan” but July 25 elections proved otherwise.

‘Shehbaz Sharif too will be in jail’

Dropping another bombshell, Sheikh Rasheed claimed that once, after an anti-Nawaz speech, Nawaz Sharif contacted him and told him that his (Rasheed’s) allegation of corruption had to do more with Shehbaz Sharif not him.

“He (Nawaz Sharif) told me that the Quaid-e-Azam solar power project scandal, the Nandipur scandal and LNG scandal had to do with Shehbaz not him, about LNG, he told me that the allegations are related to Shehbaz and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (former PM),” said Sheikh Rasheed.

He concluded by saying that he supports the idea that Imran Khan’s government should ask these “thieves” to bring back looted money and apologise before the nation.
