Nawaz Sharif calls for unity to eliminate mindset of terrorism

He said that he was addressing the parliament with deep sorrow and was saddened by the loss of innocent lives and loved ones.

“These misguided people have become our enemies,” he said and this is the same mindset which want wants to weaken the peace of our society.  He reiterated that this government would not spare a single terrorist in the country

This is the same mindset which targeted Benazir Bhutto, and other incidents from the killings of Ismailis in Safoora attack, ethnic cleansing of Hazaras in Baloachists, school children Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, churches in Lahore, and attack all sections of society including minorities took place sue to this radical mindset.

This mindset is the enemy of our society, and legal and constitutional framework of the society, and wants to attack at a time when the country was witnessing economic development including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said that Operation Zarb-e- Azb was the combined consensus of the society, and would continue to flush out terrorists until they become a history.

“We have many attempts and activities of terrorists unsuccessful,” said Nawaz while remaining adamant that terrorists cannot weaken our resolve, and it was only unity at every level through which we could eliminate terrorism from the country.

He reiterated that the government, people armed forces, and the national institutions of Pakistan remain united and steadfast in their fight against terrorism.

OPPOSITION 

Leader of Opposition Khursheed Shah suggested to constitute a parliamentary committee on national security, and said that government cannot win the war on terrorism alone.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the obstacles in the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) should be discussed in the parliament.

He said that the country had facing the scourge or terrorism since the last decade, and had lost almost sixty thousand lives but the world had yet to realise our sacrifices. He asked if the condolences and condemnation were enough for the matter.
