Pakistan’s ‘pop queen’ Nazia Hassan is being remembered by music industry and her fans around the world today on what would have been her 54th birthday on April 3rd.

Elegant and stylish coupled with a melodious voice Nazia Hassan passed away on August 13, 2000, at the young age of 35, in London, following a prolonged battle with lung cancer. The pop singer was born on 3rd April 1965 in Karachi.

Recipient of the prestigious Pride of Performance award for her services to the music industry in Pakistan, Hassan kicked off her career as a child artist in Pakistan Television (PTV) and later became a heartthrob of Pakistani music industry along with her co-singer and brother Zohaib Hassan.
