KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has paid tribute to the martyrs of yesterday’s terrorist attack on Karachi airport and also expressed his pleasure over the safety of national assets, during night-long battle – ARY News reports.

The Federal Interior Minister eventually appeared after 22 hours of the deadly attack on Karachi airport. Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif had advised him to visit Karachi for monitoring the post-attack situation there.

Nisar while expressing his pleasure that all the assets remained safe during the attack and none of the planes were damaged, paid tribute to the martyred security personnel, who laid their lives and fought the terrorists to secure national assets.

The Interior Minister however forgot to realize that while he was addressing a press conference 7 missing cargo workers were trapped inside the burning cold-storage compound of the old terminal, located at a distance of few hundred meters from him.
