RAWAT: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said he would elaborate in the next few days why he did not join the new cabinet, ARY News reported.
“Respect is hard to find in politics these days. Foul language is being used. The culture of blandishing should be shunned in political parties,” he said while addressing a public gathering in his constituency. He laid foundation for a hospital worth Rs65 million in Rawat.
This was his first public appearance after the new federal cabinet took oath in the National Assembly today. Nisar is not part of the new cabinet after his refusal to be a minister to new government setup. Former Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has replaced Nisar by taking oath as Interior Minister.
The new cabinet encompasses 27 federal ministers and 16 state ministers.

Comprising mostly old faces with some reallocation of key portfolios, the cabinet members sworn in today (Friday) by President Mamnoon Hussain at the Presidency here. The names of PM Khaqan Abbasi’s cabinet members were finalised late on Thursday.
The former minister said Pakistani politics had become far too difficult and difference between true and false had vanished.
“You don’t understand who is right, who is wrong. Respect does not lie in designations, but it lies in what character you hold,” he said.
Nisar said true loyalty was to speak the truth before your leader and not flatter him.
Addressing the residents of Rawat Tehsil, he also said you must admit that when the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) got in power development of infrastructure took place all around and not in just this area. He also said his area belonged to loyalists of the party and they would fortify their party under the leadership of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
