Talking to media man after visiting a hospital near Taxila, the minister said: The investigations into the issuance of fake computerized national identity cards (CNICs) are underway and more than 200 employees have so far been suspended or arrested in connection to it.

He said that hundreds of thousands of such CNICs were issued in last tenure, adding, “Those performing good deeds have to face difficulties in Pakistan”.

Nisar, however, vowed to go to into the depth of fake CNIC scandal.

The decision pertaining to the stay of foreign migrants in the country will be made after complete investigations, he added.

He praised the role of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for ensuring peace during local elections in the country and told that the present security level will be maintained until December 5.

The interior minister also condemned attacks on media persons in Karachi.
