The commission spokesperson said a comprehensive strategy will be devised for action against quack doctors and nurses whose negligence jeopardize lives of patients.

Meanwhile, owner of Darul Sehat Hospital Amir Chishti also met the parents of Nishwa. Sources said the hospital’s owner also offered a financial compensation to the grieved family, however, the family had not yet decided on the matter.

It is reported that Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari is playing a role of a mediator to resolve the matter between the two parties.

A nine-month-old girl, Nishwa was paralysed after being administered ‘wrong injection’ by ‘untrained nursing staff’ at the hospital last week.

Father of the girl, Qaiser, had alleged that her daughter, Nishwa, was paralysed due to ‘wrong injection’ given to her by the ‘untrained nursing staff’.

Qaiser said that he brought his twin daughters to the hospital for treatment of diarrhoea. He added her daughters were injected three drips on different timings. The father said that condition of one of his daughters Nishwa was worsened just after the family prepared to leave for home.
