No compromise to be made on Kulbushan Jadhav’s matter: corps commanders

RAWALPINDI: A Corps Commanders’ Conference on Thursday decided no compromise shall by made on the matter of convicted Indian spy Kulbushan Sudhir Jadhav, ARY News reported.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided the 201st Corps Commanders’ Conference held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The meeting was briefed about RAW agent Kulbushan Jadhav.

The Indian naval officer was awarded death sentence by military court in Pakistan a year after arrest over espionage and facilitating terrorism. He had confessed to committing and planning subversive activities inside Pakistan.

The corps commanders’ meeting also reviewed national security environment and recent developments in the region.

The forum reviewed progress of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and provision of support to ongoing national housing and population census.

The COAS appreciated formations, intelligence agencies and Law Enforcement Agencies for successful execution of operations.
