“Muslims have suffered most from terrorism,” said Anubhav Sinha who directed the recently released perceptive movie named Mulk.

On July 29, during a promotional event for the film, Anubhav said that the discovery of oil in Muslim countries became a liability for them for the United States, in order to occupy those oil fields, entered these countries.

“Violence became the norm and in order to justify this violence, this term called Islamic terrorism was coined and promoted through TV and other media, we bought this brand,” Sinha told Indian students while answering their questions.

He maintained that more Muslims have been killed in acts of terrorism in Middle East and other countries than non-Muslims. “So there is no such thing as Islamic terrorism, terrorism is a reality but there is nothing called Islamic terrorism,” added Sinha.

The director, who answered similar questions from media in the past with confidence, urged the Indian youth to shun all prejudices and start treating Indian Muslims as their brethren.

Sinha’s latest movie Mulk too revolves around a similar plot where a Muslim family is trying to prove their innocence, as a member of their own has been found guilty for planting a bomb blast in a city that claimed lives of many innocent people.
