HYDERABAD: An oil tanker carrying diesel careened off the super highway and into nearby land in the vicinity of Thana Bola Khan on Saturday morning, ARY News reported.
Police said the oil tanker carrying 32 thousands of liters veered off the super highway and overturned in the nearby area, spilling diesel. The local and motorway police rushed to the site and took precautionary measures to prevent any untoward happening.
Learning about the oil tanker oozing oil, the residents of the nearby localities rushed to collect oil but the police present at the site kept them at distance.
There was no immediate information about the cause of the incident. The tanker was reported to be travelling from Karachi to Moro.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) held Shell Pakistan Ltd (SPL) responsible for the inferno and imposed Rs10 million on it and ordered it to pay Rs1 million each to the families of the deceased and Rs 500,000 each to those injured in the incident.
