It is rightly said that a generation without instruction is headed towards destruction. But what if those who are tasked with instruction designedly proceed towards the concealment of knowledge? What seems to be utterly bizarre has been quite a practice in the Republic.

The first hand experience of it can particularly be garnered by attending disquisitions (lectures) at acclaimed colleges and renowned varsities, or by meeting those learners, who have been seeking knowledge at such seats of knowledge.

Not giving space and elbow room to others so as to make them maximise their academic and professional prowess have been done by the very preceptors, who have been obligated to deliver knowledge in its entirety for the betterment and progression of the country. It is a thousand pities that those who have been tasked with edifying others, do not have the willingness so as to disseminate their erudition.

Having been associated with the field of instruction since 2012, I have found that most of the educators possess a sense of insecurity of being replaced by better educators in their respective branches of knowledge, which has been leading them towards not demystifying the concepts of a given subject in its totality; a sizeable strength of such tutors considers their very pupils to be their prospective competitors in the field of teaching in the years to come, which has become quite deleterious to the quality of the delivery of education in the endeared Republic of ours, which has been suffering from a privation of human resource since its establishment.

Not having accomplished preceptors in the field shall have the apprehension of concepts of the learners compromised. Resultantly, it shall lead to the development an unsatisfactory and compromised workforce, which shall never be able to acquire the long-term objectives of the state.

The pressing need of the time is that of an attitudinal shift of the teachers, who must propagate their attained knowledge to the best of their capacity since it has been the Deed of the Holy Prophets since day one. An educator must possess an exemplary conduct so as to have it followed by his tutees; he must mould the impressionable minds of his learners so as to have the crux of the message of Allah the Almighty and the Last Holy Prophet (PBUH) of His promulgated.

No training sessions shall be fruitful and sufficient in having the mindset of a plethora of teachers changed; a teacher himself has the potential so as to create a differential between what is right, and what is wrong.

Those who intend to contribute selflessly without keeping their ken under wraps must be inducted into the service, and others must be shown the door due to their lack of contribution towards the progress and betterment of their learners.
