ISLAMABAD: The oppositin members in National Assembly boycotted the house proceedings amid heated arguments after Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali called the role of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) as a ‘farce’, ARY News reported on Wednesday. 

Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Interior Minister wants to stir negative environment in the house. 

They demanded apology from the minister and said that the opposition members will not return to the session until the words used by the minister would not be taken back by him.

Khurshid Shah called the words used by the interior minister as regrettable.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali, while clarifying his stance said that he used the word ‘farce’ for the role of PTI outside the parliament.
