PAF fully capable to respond any genre of aggression: Air Chief

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said that the PAF will ensure security of air boundaries of the country in case of imposition of war.

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar on Sunday visited forward operating bases to review operational preparedness of the air troops,said PAF spokesperson.

During the visit, the PAF chief said, ‘They are a peaceful nation while armed forces are ready to respond any genre of aggression by the enemy.’ He said that PAF would ensure security of air boundaries at any cost in warring situation.

Commenting over operational preparedness,he said that Pakistani armed forces were fully capable to tackle all kind of challenges and ready to thwart any kind of aggression.

Earlier on February 23, amid the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India in the wake of the Pulwama incident, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the restive Line of Control (LoC), according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said the army chief reviewed state of preparedness of the troops deployed there and lauded their high morale.

“Pakistan is a peace loving country but we will not be intimidated or coerced. Any aggression or misadventure shall be paid back in same coin”, said Gen Bajwa.

Tensions between Pakistan and India arise post suicide attack on a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway that killed more than 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the attacker at Lethpora in the Pulwama district of India-Ocuupied Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 while responsibility of the attack was claimed by the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
