PAF aircraft catches fire during crash-landing at Nur Khan airbase

RAWALPINDI: A C-130 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) caught fire while making an emergency landing at the Nur Khan airbase on Friday. All crew members on board the plane remained unhurt.

According to the PAF spokesperson, the fire that erupted in the aircraft has been put out. The C-130 aircraft was on a routine training mission.

He said all the crew members on board the plane remained safe, adding that Air Head Quarters has ordered a probe into the fire incident to ascertain its cause.

Earlier this year, a small training aircraft had crashed in Lahore’s Garden Town. The pilot and trainee pilot of the plane suffered minor injuries when their aircraft crashed.

The injured pilot and trainee pilot were identified as Muhammad Faheem and Hasham, respectively.
