FIR registered in PAF base attack — against "unknown persons"


Pakistan’s military spokesman has said that the perpetrators of the attack had come from Afghanistan and were being monitored from there.

The Counter Terrorism Department has registered FIR of the attack on a letter of the PAF and complaint of the camp-incharge.

The investigtion teams have collected evidence from the spot and also gathered finger prints and blood samples of the dead terrorists. The investigators have also recorded statements of the injured and other eyewitnesses.

Director General Inter Services Public Relations Director General Major General Asim Salim Bajwa has said 29 people and 13 terrorists were killed in the attack on PAF Camp in Badaber area of Peshawar on Friday. He said 23 PAF officials and three Army personnel including one officer died while fighting the terrorists.

He said that the attackers came from Afghanistan and being handled from the neighboring country.

Funeral Prayers

The victims of Friday’s Badabher air force base attack were laid to rest with military honours in their native areas on Saturday, ARY News reported.

Deceased junior technician Shan Ali was buried at a graveyard after funeral prayers in his native city of Faisalabad.

Radar Operator Muneer Ahmed who also died in Peshawar terrorist attack was laid to rest in Gujrat.

The funeral prayers of Captain Asfandyar will be offered in his Attock district.
