Conspiracies to dent Pak-China ties to fail: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said “those trying to sabotage Pak-China relations will never succeed in their ‘evil’ designs, ARY News reported on Monday.

Addressing a ceremony held for collection of donations for the two policemen who sacrificed their lives in foiling the terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate, here in Islamabad, the minister said “any attempt of denting deep rooted and time tested,Pak-China relations to go in ‘vain’.”

The information minister appreciated the Chinese initiative of collecting donations for the martyrs of the Chinese consulate attack, adding that this gesture clearly reflects the strong bonds between the two countries despite all these odds, he maintained.

Highlighting the history of Pak-China relationship, the Information Minister said the recent visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China has further strengthened the relations in different spheres including economy and defense between the two countries.

The Information Minister said the world fully knows as to who was behind the attack over the consulate and reiterated the resolve to fight the enemies of Pakistan.

Mr. Fawad said, the world is seeing who stands for peace and stability in the region and who is trying to sabotage it, “Pakistan is committed to overcome the menace of terrorism at all costs”, he continued.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said inimical foreign elements are behind the terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy Zhao Lijian thanked the minister and other officials for attending the fund raising ceremony and said that the relationship between the two countries is rooted in the hearts of the masses of the both the countries.

He said any step to ‘disturb’ bilateral relations between Pakistan and China to go in “vain.”
