Pakistan beats Malaysia 1-0 in Asian CT 2013

TOKYO: Pakistan’s hockey team has defeated Malaysia 1-0 in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2013 on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

Pakistan continued the unbeaten pursuit in the Asian Champions Trophy with third successive victory against Malaysia followed by the wins against Oman and China.

Shafqat Rasool was the man who scored the goal to make Pakistan successful against the opponents.

Pakistan will play their fourth match on November 8 against host Japan while the classified matches will be played on November 10 along with the matches for the 3rd and fourth position, followed by the final on the same day.

Pakistan is participating in the event as the defending champion of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy.

National hockey team had won their first title in 2012 by beating their arch rivals India in the final.
