Pakistan clinches 3rd spot in ICC Test rankings

Previously, Pakistan stood at the 4th spot. The test team led by Misbah played eight Tests in 2015. They won five of them and lost one, while two ended in a draw.

Australia continues to retain the first spot, followed by India at number 2.

Pakistan are set to go England in July for an important tour. The team will play four Test matches, five One Day Internationals and  a Twenty20.

Three Pakistani players were also named in ICC Test Team of 2015.  Younis Khan, Sarfraz Ahmed and Yasir Shah from Pakistan were named in the test team. Captain Misbah-ul-Haq was not included in the final XI.

Australia’s David Warner, Steven Smith and Josh Hazlewood were also included in ICC’s team whereas England’s Alastair Cook, Joe Root and Joe Root were also a part of it.
