Pakistan condemns terrorist attack killing 13 in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday condemned the terrorist attack on an election rally in Nangarhar, Afghanistan which resulted in loss of precious lives and injuries to many others.

“Pakistan reiterates its strong condemnation of the terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expresses solidarity with the people and Government of Afghanistan in this hour of grief,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said in a statement.

He said such cowardly acts could not deter the people of Afghanistan from exercising their democratic right to elect their representatives.

The FO spokesman said Pakistan would continue to support the Afghan people and the government for durable peace and security in the country.

It may be recalled that at least 13 people have been killed and 30 others wounded in a suicide bomb attack in Kama District of Nangarhar Province on Tuesday.

According to spokesman of the provincial governor, the suicide bomber blew himself up at an election rally.
