Pakistan fighting war against terror on its own: Bilawal

WASHINGTON: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan is seemingly fighting the war against terrorism on its own, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

Addressing a think tank in United States’ capital Washington, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan Army is determined to eradicate terrorism from the country.

“Pakistan’s role and sacrifices in the war against terrorism cannot be ignored,” he added.

Bilawal said that Islamic extremism was not a tap that can be turned on and off.

He also said that Kashmir issue is a serious dispute between two nuclear powers. The matter should be resolved in a peaceful manner, he added.

The PPP chairman hoped that India would not use water as a weapon against Pakistan.

Bilawal stated that Pakistan is fighting the largest war against terrorism and it seemed as if it is doing it on its own.

People’s Party chief also said that he was confident that Pakistan will find its way through the darkness via the democratic system.

He added that PPP is the only party in Pakistan which raised its voice for the rights of women and minority on every platform.

The PPP chief stated that his father Asif Ali Zardari introduced a social contract in Pakistan by the name of 18th Amendment.
