Pakistan flags waved during Eid protests in Indian-held Kashmir

Geelani and several other separatist leaders have been put under house arrest in the city.

According to reports, Geelani was not allowed to offer prayers in a mosque on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr as he remained under house arrest since his return from New Delhi on April 15.

Protests also erupted at some places in the Kashmir Valley after the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers ended.

Stone-pelting youths took to the streets in the Safa Kadal area of old city Srinagar as police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel used batons and tear smoke canisters to disperse the protesters.
