ISLAMABAD: Pakistan released 3 Afghan Taliban leaders detained here on Tuesday. They were released in order to facilitate the reconciliation process ongoing there in Afghanistan – ARY News reports.
According to sources within the Foreign Ministry, these 3 Taliban were released as Pakistan wants the reconciliation process in Afghanistan to be successful.
It was reported that Pakistan is playing its due role for the reunion process in Afghanistan.
Prior to this, Pakistan had also released another Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani on September 21 this year, who is widely regarded as the deputy of Afghan Taliban Chief Mullah Umer.
