Pakistan, India agree to enhance border communication

LAHORE: Pakistan and India have agreed to use best border communication and the instant usage of aid, ARY News reported.

According to the statement issued after a five-day bi-annual meeting between senior officials of Pakistan Rangers and Indian Border Security Force at the Headquarters Punjab Rangers in Lahore, both the countries agreed that inadvertent crossers would be returned immediately to their respective countries.

The two sides also reached consensus to make available communication channels   more effectively to control violation at the zero level.

Ranger sources revealed that Consensus was developed that no new defense construction will be made by Pakistan and India on working boundary and International border.

Major Gen. Tahir Khan led Pakistan delegation during the meeting that lasted 5-day while Director General BSF Shireen Subhash Joshi played the leading role from the part of India.

According to joint release the talks were remained positive between the two ensuring the solution of conflicts. Both developed the consensus on zero tolerance for smuggling.
