ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Saturday that Pakistani security forces killed 331 Afghan Taliban fighters, wounded more than 500 others, destroyed 104 posts, and captured 22 militants during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq (Righteous Fury), launched in response to unprovoked cross-border attacks by the Afghan Taliban.
Providing a summary of the losses inflicted on the Afghan Taliban, Tarar said 163 tanks and armoured vehicles were destroyed during the operation, and 37 locations across Afghanistan were targeted in air strikes.
The operation, launched Friday night, includes coordinated air and ground strikes targeting Taliban positions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and key military installations in Afghanistan.
Pakistani authorities have vowed a decisive and proportionate response, emphasising the safety of civilians and the defence of national sovereignty.

Fitna -e- Khawarij attack thawarted in KP
Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have successfully foiled multiple attacks by Fitna‑e‑Khawarij, in a series of coordinated incidents across the province.
Fitna-e- Khawarij targeted police posts in Matani Chowki and Budh Bair police stations in Peshawar, as well as Kingar, Kashopal, and District Khyber posts. Militants used hand grenades and a variety of small and heavy firearms.
Officials confirmed that one police officer and six civilians were injured during the assaults. Rapid response by local police forces ensured that all attacks were successfully repelled.

Trump praises Pakistan
US President Donald Trump has weighed in on the escalating military tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime, saying Islamabad is handling the situation “terrifically well” and he will not intervene in the conflict.
Speaking to reporters before heading to Texas, Trump was asked whether anyone had requested him to intervene.
Trump replied, “Well, I would, but I get along with Pakistan, as you know, very well, very well. In remarks, Trump also praised Pakistan’s leadership, expressing respect for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir.

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Atta Tarar, has confirmed that during operation Ghazab‑lil‑Haq. 297 Taliban Regime’s fighters have been killed and over 450 wounded.

DG ISPR confirms 274 Afghan Taliban killed, 12 soldiers martyred
At least 274 militants were killed and more than 400 wounded during Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, while 12 soldiers from Pakistan were martyred and 27 injured, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, the military spokesperson said Pakistan’s armed forces delivered a “decisive and proportionate response” to terrorist attacks originating from across the border.
He said the retaliatory action resulted in the killing of 274 militants, while over 400 others were injured.
According to him, more than 73 posts of the Afghan Taliban regime were completely destroyed, while 18 posts were captured by Pakistani forces during the operation.
DG ISPR also claimed that 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed or seized during the fighting. He added that Afghan Taliban fighters had used various weapons, including quadcopters, during the clashes, but Pakistani forces responded effectively wherever attacks were launched.
According to the military spokesperson, Afghan Taliban fighters abandoned their posts and fled, leaving behind bodies and equipment. During the clashes, 12 Pakistani soldiers were martyred, while 27 others were injured and one soldier remains missing.
Afghan posts destroyed
According to the state-run APP, the Pakistan Armed Forces have completely destroyed several key Afghan posts on the Pak-Afghan border.
Security sources said the Afghan Taliban forces also hoisted white flags at several posts after Pakistan’s armed forces’ decisive response.
The security forces effectively targeted the Afghan Taliban forces using artillery and quadcopter drones, they said.
According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistani security forces have destroyed several key military installations in Afghanistan and taken control of multiple Afghan Taliban posts during the ongoing “Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.”

In Kandahar, airstrikes reportedly destroyed an ammunition depot, a logistics base, one corps headquarters, and a brigade headquarters, according to the state-run broadcaster.
Angoor Adda
Security sources also claimed that another Afghan post was destroyed in the Angoor Adda area along the border.
Paktika
According to Radio Pakistan, security forces seized a post in Afghanistan’s Paktika province near the Shawal sector of South Waziristan. In the Wali Khan sector along the Pakistan-Afghan border, another Afghan post was reportedly destroyed.
Pakistani Flag Hoisted
The report added that Pakistani forces seized five Afghan posts in the Paktia region opposite South Waziristan and hoisted the national flag at those locations.
Karachi, Punjab on high alert as Pakistan launches retaliatory strikes against Afghan Taliban
Security has been placed on high alert across Punjab and Karachi after Pakistan launched the ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’ operation in response to unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban forces at multiple locations along the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Inspector General (IG) Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem directed strict security measures across the province in view of the tense border situation, particularly during Friday prayers.
According to official directives, Punjab Police has been placed on high alert, with enhanced monitoring along internal borders. The IG ordered officers to maintain close surveillance of terrorists, miscreants, and suspicious individuals.
He stated that every officer and personnel of Punjab Police stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and security agencies.
Security has been further tightened at mosques, police check posts, embassies, and other sensitive installations. Authorities have also been instructed to continue search and combing operations to keep a close watch on potential threats.
In Karachi, DIG East Farukh directed all officers and personnel to remain on high alert.
Security has been heightened at sensitive locations and important buildings, while snap-checking and blockades have been set up on key roads to monitor suspicious individuals.
“We are fully prepared to deal with any internal unrest,” the DIG said, adding that safeguarding the country remains the top priority of the police force.

President Asif Ali Zardari has warned that Pakistan will not compromise on its territorial integrity under any circumstances, cautioning the Afghan Taliban against misreading the country’s desire for peace as weakness.
“Pakistan knows well where the architects, enablers, and sponsors of violence operate from. If the bloodshed persists, those responsible elements will not remain out of our reach,” the president said in a statement.
He said that the Pakistani nation and its valiant armed forces stood like a shield to protect the homeland’s integrity and borders.
The president said that Pakistan would not compromise under any circumstances on its peace, stability, or territorial integrity and no one should be under the illusion that the country would succumb to any pressure or threats.

PM vows decisive response
