NEW DELHI: Indian premier Narendra Modi wants Islamabad to walk away from terrorism if it wants to revive a dialogue with India, according to a report published in the Times of India.
In his speech during Raisina Dialogue, a yearly conference held in New Delhi, he said if Pakistan wants to build a relationship with India and have a dialogue, it must distance itself from “terror activities”.
“Pakistan must walk away from terror if it wants to walk towards dialogue with India,” Modi said while inaugurating the Raisina Dialogue.
“It also has to be Pakistan’s journey to make,” he added.
Referring to the uncertain India-China relations, he said preferring to focus on the “vast area of commercial and business opportunities”.
“It is not unnatural for two large neighbouring powers to have some differences…for peace and progress in the region, both our countries need to show sensitivity and respect for each other’s core concerns and interests.”
