Pakistan Navy prevents Indian submarine from entering its water

KARACHI: Taking great care and noticing obvious signs of danger, Pakistan Navy successfully intercepted an Indian submarine and prevented it from entering Pakistani waters, ARY News reported on Friday.

Pakistan Navy, once again, proved its operational competence by detecting and blocking the Indian Submarine from entering into Pakistani waters.

An unsuspecting submarine was detected and localised South of Pakistani coast on November 14, 2016, said a press release from Pakistan Navy said on Friday.

Pakistan Navy Fleet units recognised the danger in the shape of an Indian submarine floating secretly near the Pakistan waters possibly spying following which they limited its movement effectively.

A Navy spokesperson said in the press release that Pakistan naval fleets units chased the Indian submarine before it was sent back.

“This is a proof of Pakistan Navy’s extremely skilled anti-submarine warfare unit,” said the press release.

We are vigilant and fully prepared to answer any sort of Indian aggression, the statement added.

While Indian Army continues to undertake serious ceasefire violations along the line of control (LoC) and working boundary, Indian Navy deceitfully deployed its submarines against Pakistan with ulterior motives, added the press release.

This incident happened at a time when Chinese ships are also docked at Karachi port to participate in Fourth Pakistan Navy and People’s Liberation Army-Navy (PLA-N) bilateral exercises encompassing harbour and sea phases.

Tensions between Pakistan and India worsened when New Delhi blamed Pakistan-based militants for a raid on an army base in the held Kashmir that killed 19 soldiers.

Recently Indian Border Forces (BSF) killed seven Pakistani soldiers in a cross-border fire in disputed Kashmir, an unusually high toll after months of surging tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
